Variety is the spice of life, and my life was super spicy.
My family lived in a small suburban neighborhood. On Mom’s side I had three sets of cousins residing in small towns and one set living at Mom’s original family farm. Dad’s brother would eventually get married and have one son; another farm cousin. I had it all.

  1. I would have been the farm kid and still am. Big “old” kid now. In fact I just finished cleaning out the chicken house which is really fun. Lol. I like your site since I’m a kid of the 50s. Tomorrow my post is about an incident back then. Thank you!

Thanks, Levi. And what a perfect name for a country kid.
We have ten chickens and six guinea hens. They are all free range.
I think we grew up during a wonderful period.

      • We did. I have an old juke box with 300 records from the 50s and 60s. I have a lot of good memories. Some not so good too. Lol. It was a different time indeed.
